Riding, sneezing, sleeping

Nationals is only a week and two days away, and I would be much more excited should I not have had a fluey-like lurgy for the past week. It's quite frustrating!

Logically, you KNOW that having a cruisy week and being a little off colour won't change your race massively (unless you're still sick at the race), but it definitely puts a dampener on things—especially when you know you need to work on intensity and all you can do is creep around for fear of head explosion and mass snotting.

And I am needing a LOT of sleep that I am not getting. I go to bed early, but I seem to be on 'light-sleep mode', which is really not a good thing when you live next to a train station.

I am really excited for new bikes, and also the week after Nationals, being he second round of the National Series. After that, unless I am wanting to race the rest of the series, that will be my season done-skis.

Although Aido and I are considering going to N-Zud to race Oceanias—we'll be there already to help out on a Race Elements trip, so why not? (Oh...maybe because of the exorbitantly expensive international racing license—I mean REALLY, it's just another state of Australia, isn't it??)

We'll see. Chin up!
