I wouldn't describe myself as preppy, but then again my bedroom is kelly green and I have a pink and green sofa, so perhaps I'm more preppy than I think! So as this is my debut at P&G Thursday, what better introduction than to debut something equally as fabulous...
Meet the newest edition to my Marc by Marc Jacobs family, Baby Grovee Satchel in Tourmaline Green! I absolutely adore it and I was able to snag it at a great price thanks to a 30% off sale at Bloomingdale's. While it may not be the Miu Miu bow satchel of my dreams, this satchel is still quite fabulous and the color is a perfect grass green. Of course, this couldn't be Pink and Green Thursday without a splash of pink! I think I'm going to use my old Louis Vuitton Framboise Ludlow wallet with my new purchase. The wallet was my first big designer purchase back in 2005 and took far too many hours of babysitting to earn the money for it! Vernis is also my favorite line of Vuitton products at it's very feminine but a little more subtle in terms of the logo print due to the patent.
I'm also a big fan of Vernis because unlike other patent leather, the tanning process in which Vuitton uses results in the products having a beautiful metallic shimmer in the finish. It's a bit difficult to photograph, but I think this picture gives you the jist of how striking it is in person.
Put these two fabulous pieces together and I think you get a look that is as refreshing as a big slice of watermelon on a hot August day!
