There was a screen you could "draw" on with a laser pen; this was my contribution (except for the kite)

Pousette-Dart's "White Cosmos"

I know it's been ages since Labor Day, but summer holds on a little bit longer into September in DC. Because it's now October and the weather is getting cooler, I thought I'd salute the passing of summer by sharing pictures of the white party at the Phillips Collection on August 26th and a few of the pieces I saw on display. This summer, the museum had exhibitions of Pousette-Dart's and Robert Ryman's work, both of which featured a lot of white. The white party celebrated these exhibitions and also incorporated a Afro-Caribbean theme -dance performances, music, games to play. They even had Caribbean dishes to try, which were delicious. If you're in the DC area, please check out the Phillips Collection. It's right off the DuPont Circle metro stop, and you'll enjoy their collection of Renior, Rothko, Dégas, and other great works.
