I am not in the habit of doing shameless advertising on my blog, but today I'm making an exception. My friend Predrag Gosta, who I've known since I was 13, is the head of an international music group, New Trinity Baroque, and their latest album, Antonio Vivaldi Concertos, is available for ordering. I hope you will check it out. Predrag Gosta founded New Trinity Baroque in London in 1998, and it has been hailed as "one of America's premier period groups." I've been to several of NTB's concerts and I've always been impressed. Another fun fact: one of the viola players, Mirna Ogrizović, is the director of the symphony orchestra at my undergrad.
If you have a penchant for baroque music performed on period instruments, or if you know someone who does, simply check out NTB's website.
I'm pretty sure this video was filmed at St. Bart's in Atlanta. Check out how Predrag conducts with his head.
And this video has clips of their pieces and advertises their different performers.
