New era cycling

It's been a while since my last post. I guess my riding and coffee blog feels a little obsolete considering I have one half-shot coffee of a morning, and ride about 7 hours/week now days! I have given up hanging onto the thought of doing any 'training' rides. I'm almost 18 weeks and the body will just say 'no' if I ask too much of it.

My riding has mainly been consisting of the commute through the bush at Gap Creek to the ambulance station for prac work. It's just over an hour and I was doing that three of my four prac days a week, then some other social riding the other days. Mixed up with a bit of running when the weather's cool and the occasional gym sesh and i'm not going too crazy! The exercise, however, doesn't seem to help too much with my crazy fatigue levels...which are off the hook right now. This morning I went for a 75 min ride, and after lunch I crashed into the deepest possible sleep for an hour and a half! It's an exercise/sleep conundrum! Actually, the whole thing was quite funny as I was on my rigid singlespeed and Aiden rode down this long set of stairs, and I didn't want to but didn't see another option. Anyway, thought Mayhem was just about to get ejected with all the bumps!

Anyway, the bane of my existence is the fatigue. The fatigue makes 12 hour shifts quite difficult, and I always ensure I have a nanna nap if I have the day off work and prac.

Anyway, this is supposed to be the 'full of energy' time, so I loathe to think what T3 will have in store for me! BTW, no bump as yet, just feeling fatter at this stage. Will keep updated as to bump status!
