Hence, I am now a lady of leisure! Fingers crossed this baby doesn't come late as I can only muster enough motivation, care-factor and stamina to be Australia's version of Martha Stewart for a short period of time. This involves making tagines, curries, lasagnes, home-made dips, cakes and slices while having the floors buffed and the washing folded and put away (I struggle mostly with that last one...ugh, sock pairing!).
I did a whopping 6 hours on the bike last week, but as Mayhem has plonked her head firmly in my pelvis as faaaar south as she can get without escaping, it's getting a bit more difficult with sacral and upper thigh and groin pain. I hear it's all part of the process of getting her out. I can eat more comfortably now, but i'm not sure if this is a good thing or not...
I am hoping, as she has been engaged for over a week now, that her entrance won't be too leisurely and that we're on the same wavelength with an eviction date (Mayhem: mum likes the sound of 14th–19th March). Being engaged can be an indicator that they're coming relatively soon, however I had heard stories of mum's having a coconut swinging between their legs for a month before they make a grand entrance.
Lots of pineapple and curry and riding my bike on bumpy fireroads, plus some clary sage oil now she's classified as 'term'. Lots of niggles and non constructive contractions, but similar to being engaged, can mean absolutely nothing in terms of when she's finally going to come out
I think we're ready, but of course we have no idea what we're in for. So we're as ready as we can be knowing that we're not ready at all, if that makes sense.
I'm ready to build up a sweet road bike too, and finally be able to pedal normally once again. Not too long now for that either, fingers crossed!
