I feel like I have always been an entertainer at heart. I love to throw a good party and a few weekends ago, I had my first party at my new apartment!
No party is complete without an excessive assortment of cheese! I had Spicy Cheese Balls, Grandmother's Cheese Straws, tiny Caprese Pizzas and even home made pinwheels! I am also pleased to say I made the chocolate sauce!
These were delicious cinnamon muffins found at Whole Foods. So I didn't make everything, but these are too good to not have at a party!
Everyone was also able to enjoy homemade Bruschetta, a favorite I picked up in my former life in Italy, and Gorgonzola Canapés!
I was even brave enough to try White Sangria and my personal favorite, Veryfine Fruit Punch. Both turned out great, especially the Veryfine Fruit Punch. I ended up using more oranges in my sangria than peach because peaches were not readily available.
Finally, in the weeks leading up to the party, I became really daring, and I decided to make fondant covered cupcakes! This is batch three and by far the best! I love cake decorating and I had a blast learning how to use fondant! It is much easier than one would think, and quite rewarding in the end!
Most of the recipes used at my party were found in this book: Party Snacks! by A.J. Rathbun
