V8 V-Fusion + Energy--Orange Pineapple

CAFFEINE CONTENT

80 mg

EASE IN ACQUISITION—8

Available in the juice aisle at Wal-Mart—but hardly anywhere else.  Given, however, the ubiquity of Wal-Mart stores, acquisition presents no challenges.

APPEARANCE/PRESENTATION—7

Decent—if you like fruit and bare aluminum.  I’m not the biggest fan of either on cans, but it does an okay job of getting across what this drink’s all about.

TASTE—7.5

This is probably my least favorite of the three V-Fusion energy drinks—not that it’s bad; with ice it’s nice and refreshing and juicy.  My thing is that I have a problem with anything pineapple that is not the fresh fruit—the canned stuff is just gross, in my opinion.  The stuff in here definitely does not have the fresh pineapple taste, but fortunately I like the orange enough to keep me from feeling incensed.

KICK (INTENSITY)—6

If you like/need serious energy, this isn’t the way to go.  Even two or three cans delivers energy that is less than comparable next to other energy drinks with a comparable caffeine content.  If you need serious energy juice you should get a Viso, but for a light kick or for persons sensitive to caffeine this’ll do just fine.

KICK (DURATION)—6

I figure I got about two hours of efficacy out of this.  Crash was absent.

THE DRINK OVERALL—6.5

If you like the idea of what I just described, go for it.  If not, I’ve got plenty of other reviews.  Keep reading.
